Massage in Schools - History

During the latter part of the 1990's, the co-founders, Mia Elmsäter and Sylvie Hétu combined their professional skills, passion, vast experience, and training in education (including Steiner and Montseeori) to formulate the Massage in Schools Programme, or MISP. It was first promoted in the UK in 1999, and within 10 years has grown rapidly into a global association, having headquarters in North and South America, Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa.
